Microbial quality inspection

The Kumamoto University Institute of Resource Development and Analysis Center for Animal Resources and Development (CARD) carries out microbial quality inspection of mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, and mice cells for requests from both inside and outside the University.
(This differs from the regular inspections carried out within the Animal Facility )

Usage Procedure

 See this page for reference.
Test results will be available from about two weeks after specimens are received.

Inspection Items and Rates

 See here for reference.

Compliance Requirements

When making a request, please read and agree to these rules.

Support after Inspection

If mice are found to be infected with pathogenic microorganisms, they can be disinfected using reproductive engineering technology. (For reproductive engineering technical manual, please refer here.)
Via use of the Mouse Bank, you are able to request disinfecting without having to study reproductive engineering technology.
 See this page for details.
