Submission of Animal Experimentation Plan


 For all animal experiments performed at Kumamoto University, an animal experimentation plan must be submitted to the Animal Care and Use Committee, and that plan must be inspected and approved.



Preparation of animal experimentation plan

 Researchers who wish to perform experiments using animals at Kumamoto University must list the necessary information in the animal experimentation plan ( Word file ).

 The animal experimentation plan will be reviewed every 2 years.
 If an experiment continues past 2 years, a new animal experimentation plan must be submitted.



Submitting the animal experimentation plan

 Submit the animal experimentation plan document that was created to the Animal Care and Use Committee secretariat.

Distribution of animal experimentation plan serial numbers

 Once the animal experimentation plan has been inspected and approved, the researcher will receive an animal experimentation plan serial number.
 This number will be used when ordering or purchasing animals to be raised at the Animal Facility.



When using genetically modified animals

 In the case of using genetically modified animals, follow each procedure listed here, in addition to the creation and submission of the animal experimentation plan.
